Ride As One is a feature documentary about the fierce world of Indian Relay and the extraordinary ways the sport gives back to the young people who dedicate their lives to it.
Following Jumping Eagle Express and Frontline Relay through a full season, we’ll capture the deep friendships, irreverent humor, and immense determination that hold these teams together—and the bonds with horses that, for many, have become a reason to keep going.

Horses are Kaylee Moore’s life. Through a tumultuous upbringing, they became her sanctuary, giving her stability and somewhere to channel everything she was carrying.
Then came a devastating car accident that broke her back in several places and left doctors worried she might never walk again, let alone ride.
Kaylee fought her way back and now races for Jumping Eagle Express, though every lap carries the risk of another injury. Her family fears continuing may be too dangerous, but walking away would mean leaving the thing that has made her feel most alive.
Now that she has graduated from high school, Kaylee must decide what comes next: keep racing, or leave everything she knows for the possibility of something new.

Once underdogs, Frontline Relays are now among the best teams in the sport. At the heart of that rise is Mason Red Wing, who has taken all the boys in. They live together under his roof, caring for horses and working toward a shared ambition.
For many, Mason’s house is the first stable home they have ever known, and the team their first real sense of family.
We meet Frontline in the aftermath of a crash in Casper that killed Rowdy, their beloved anchor horse, whom they mourned like a brother.
Still grieving and shaken, the team will spend 2027 rebuilding, one race at a time. Their sights are pointed north to Canada, where the competition is fierce and the purses are huge. But Mason will take them only when he knows they are ready.

Like Hoop Dreams, Ride As One begins with the pursuit of victory and opens onto a much larger coming-of-age story about survival, belonging, and the forces that shape a young life.
These young people are coming of age on the reservation, where jobs are scarce, alcoholism has touched many families, and rates of youth suicide are devastatingly high. The film holds those realities alongside lives filled with laughter, fierce competition, and the sheer joy of racing.
Indian Relay is where all of it converges: the danger and freedom of the track, the discipline of caring for horses, and the chosen families built around a shared devotion to them. These kids give the horses their time, their trust, and their whole hearts. What comes back can change the course of their lives.
